The Committee Assisting Undocumented Student Achievement (CAUSA) is a faculty, staff, and student group interested in raising awareness and supporting undocumented students and their families at Illinois State University.
CAUSA—also Spanish for "cause"—places Illinois State among higher education institutions that support undocumented students and/or U.S.-born students with undocumented parents.
Do you have questions or would you like to get in touch with supportive faculty on campus?

Diversity is a core value at Illinois State University, and we welcome all applicants regardless of citizenship status. Undocumented students, with or without Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), who apply to Illinois State are treated identically to any other U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
These materials were prepared for a CAUSA seminar hosted at Illinois State in September 2016. The training sought to improve K-16 educators' understanding and knowledge of the struggles faced by undocumented students and their families.
